The work of the Expository Preaching Trust is expanding.
As well as Preaching clubs, workshops and conferences, we now have 50 preachers being mentored by 16 experienced preachers.
The Trust began in 2012 and we are now in need of extra help.
From 1 July Michael Leong will join us for one day per week to be the Trust’s Operations Associate.
Michael is married to Jen and they have 2 children, James and Naomi.
Michael grew up in Greater Western Sydney and now resides in Waitara.
He studied Medicine at the University of NSW, where he became a Christian in his first year thanks to the ministries of Campus Bible Study and St Paul’s Anglican Church, Carlingford.
After training at Moore College, Michael became the English Pastor of CrossLife Church in Asquith, where he has been serving for the last 14 years.
Michael holds the degrees of Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology from Moore.
As well as mentoring and speaking at the Trust’s conferences, Michael will oversee the promotion of our website and events and coordinate the implementation of the calendar.
Michael will also manage the allocation of mentors and mentees.
Of this new ministry, Michael says, “The Trust has been a great blessing for me personally, sharpening my preaching, going deeper into God’s Word and connecting me with like-minded ministry workers. It’s a great blessing and privilege to be working in partnership with the Trust, helping God’s people to be strengthened by preaching that is faithful, engaging and impactful. I am grateful to David and to the EPTrust board for allowing me to participate in this ministry and will be praying that God continues and grows this work.”

The new semester for mentoring begins on 2 August; the annual preaching workshop on preaching wisdom literature will be on 4 -6 August; the Armidale preaching conference will be on 31 August – 1 September and the Wahroonga preaching day on preaching parables will be held on 7 September.
