About David
David Cook is a graduate of Sydney Missionary and Bible College and Moore Theological College.
For ten years David pastored two Presbyterian churches, one in country NSW, Wee Waa and one in inner city Ashfield, in Sydney.
For 26 years David was the Principal of SMBC (1986-2011). For all those years David lectured in Preaching. For 13 years he was the Chairman of the Katoomba Christian convention(1991-2004).
After leaving SMBC David and his wife, Maxine set up the Expository Preaching Trust in order to encourage faithful and engaging preaching of the Bible.
David runs Preaching Clubs, called ‘Lather and Shave’, which consist of 12 preachers meeting quarterly in order to encourage one another in preaching.
David preaches at conventions throughout the world as well as continuing to lecture on preaching at Colleges in Australia.
David has been married to Maxine for 50 years, they have 5 adult children and 15 grandchildren.

About the Expository Preaching Trust
The Expository Preaching Trust is a charitable trust and is able to receive donations from churches and individuals who wish to promote faithful expository preaching.
David preaches at conventions throughout the world as well as continuing to lecture on preaching at Colleges in Australia.
The Expository Preaching Trust Board is chaired by Rev. Dr. David Burge. Other Members of the Board are Ms Jenny Salt, Rev. Stuart Coulton and the Secretary/ Treasurer is Mr. Phillip Sanders.
The Trust offers preaching mentors available to meet with mentees on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
Current mentors are :
Graham Barnes, Jono Buesnell, David Burge, David Cook, Stuart Coulton, David Jones, Michael Leung, Simon Manchester, Jim Mobbs, Jenny Salt, Marshall Scott, and Janet Riley.
